Abstract
Artykuł podkreśla fakt, że na przełomie tysiącleci Jan Paweł II proponuje wielorakie formy katechezy. Jedną z takich form jest Światowy Dzień Młodzieży, gdzie papież w pewien sposób realizuje ostateczny cel katechezy, zawarty w doświadczeniu Kościoła, którym jest nie tylko doprowadzenie młodych do spotkania z Jezusem, ale również do zjednoczenia, a nawet głębokiej z Nim zażyłości.
Opracowana teologia młodych, podkreśla prawdę, że człowiek nie może żyć bez miłości. Jan Paweł II rozwija swoją myśl, że człowiek pozostaje dla siebie istotą niezrozumiałą, jego życie jest pozbawione sensu, jeśli nie objawi mu się Miłość, jeśli nie spotka się z Miłością, jeśli jej nie dotknie i nie uczyni w jakiś sposób swoją, jeśli nie znajdzie w niej żywego uczestnictwa. Z analizy Orędzia na XV ŚDM wypływają kolejne zadania dla duszpasterstwa młodzieży, aby dać młodym przestrzeń i czas, gdzie mogliby przybliżyć się do Chrystusa, zasymilować całą rzeczywistość Wcielenia i Odkupienia.
The article highlights the fact that at the turn of the millennium, John Paul II proposes multiple forms of catechesis. One such form is the World Youth Day, where the Pope in a certain way realises the ultimate goal of catechesis as contained in the experience of the Church, that is, the goal is not only to bring young people to an encounter with Jesus, but also to a union and even a deep intimacy with him.
The theology of youth developed, emphasises the truth that man cannot live without love. John Paul II elaborates on his thought that man remains a being incomprehensible to himself, his life is meaningless, if Love is not revealed to him, if he does not encounter Love, if he does not touch it and make it his own in some way, if he does not find a living participation in it. From the analysis of the Message for the Fifteenth World Youth Day, further tasks for the pastoral care of young people arise, in order to give them a space and a time where they can come closer to Christ, assimilate the whole reality of the Incarnation and Redemption.
