dc.description.abstractCelem artykułu jest podjęcie tematu etycznej oceny polowań na dzikie zwierzęta. Takie postępowanie w debacie społecznej budzi sprzeczne emocje. Konieczne jest zatem odwołanie się do naukowej refleksji bazującej na etyce i teologii moralnej. W świetle jej zasad same polowania nie stanowią wykroczenia człowieka przeciw zwierzętom i są formą sprawowania zleconego przez Stwórcę mandatu zarządcy świata. Należy jednak pamiętać o potrzebie roztropnej przyczyny podjęcia takich działań. Może to być egzystencjalna konieczność lub chęć utrzymania równowagi w ekosystemie. Myśliwi powinni ponadto zadbać o minimalizację cierpienia zwierząt łownych. Służyć temu ma ścisłe przestrzeganie reguł obowiązujących podczas organizacji i przeprowadzenia polowań.pl
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this article is to address the issue of ethical assessment of hunting wild animals. The pursuit of such activities arouses conflicting emotions in public debate. Thus, it seems essential to apply the scientific reflection based on ethics and moral theology to this matter. In the light of its principles, hunting itself does not constitute man’s misconduct against animals and is indeed a manner of carrying out the mandate of the world’s supervisor bestowed upon the man by the Creator. Nonetheless, it is imperative to emphasise the necessity of having a reasonable cause to undertake such activities. It may be an existential necessity or the intention to sustain the balance in the ecosystem. Moreover, hunters ought to ensure that the suffering of wild game is limited to the minimum. The strictest observation of rules applicable to the organisation and carrying out hunting is therefore intended to serve this purpose.pl
