Abstract
Description
The number of people "touched" by autism is constantly growing, however, the causes of this state of affairs are still not fully known. The catechesis of people with autism is based primarily on the Bible, which teaches us that every man was waxed "in the image of God" and is capable of knowing and loving his Creator. The Church's catechesis builds a bridge between the world of normal people and the world of people "touched" by autism so that we can meet and understand each other well. Increased social and ecclesial awareness and undeniable advances in special pedagogy mean that the family and the Christian community can give these people adequate catechesis. The article calls for avoiding the risk that a necessarily specialized catechesis ends up on the margins of community ministry.
