Abstract
Autor przedstawił nauczanie i działalność Augusta Hlonda (1881-1948). Podjęty problem w niniejszej dysertacji posiada przede wszystkim perspektywę teologiczną. Podejmowane zagadnienia wypływające z nauczania polskiego Hierarchy zostały ukazane w świetle Bożego Objawienia jak również skonfrontowane z treścią nauczania Kościoła. W celu zrealizowania postawionego problemu badawczego zostały wykorzystane teksty źródłowe zgromadzone w monumentalnym zbiorze Acta Hlondiana. W pracy zostało ukazane miejsce i rozumienie chrystocentryzmu w dziejach teologii, a zwłaszcza na początku XX wieku, co miało istotny wpływ na treść nauczania Augusta Hlonda. Przeprowadzana analiza teologiczna tekstów źródłowych z uwzględnieniem literatury przedmiotu jak również z wypracowanym w tym względzie nauczaniem Kościoła pozwoliła wydobyć charakterystyczne rysy nauczania polskiego Hierarchy dotyczące odnowy społeczności państwowej i eklezjalnej. Wydobyto i ukazano w niniejszej pracy przejawy chrystocentrycznego myślenia i postępowania w życiu i działalności polskiego Hierarchy, które w punkcie wyjścia zmierzać miały do kształtowania pełnej – to znaczy chrześcijańskiej wizji człowieka. Ponadto podjęto próbę sprecyzowania Hlondiańskiej teologii narodu oraz zaprezentowano chrześcijańską koncepcję państwa. Na podstawie nauczania i działalności Hlonda scharakteryzowana została myśl o odnowie Kościoła.
The author of the dissertation presents the teaching and activity of August Hlond (1881-1948), and the study has a primarily theological perspective. The themes undertaken in this present study, however, are juxtaposed with Divine Revelation and the Magisterium. The original text sources for this research come from the monumental Acta Hlondiana. The thesis begins with a presentation of the context and understanding of Christocentrism in theology, taking into particular consideration the context of the 20th century, which had a fundamental meaning in the teaching of August Hlond. From a theological analysis of the source texts, along with the consideration of the literature on the subject and the Magisterium of the Church developed in this regard, this research study emphasizes the characteristic traits in Cardinal Hlond’s teaching with regards to the renewal of the State and ecclesial communities. Presenting the characteristics of a Christocentric school of thought and action in the life and actions of the Cardinal Hlond, the thesis describes how such characteristics were the starting point for the development of a comprehensive – that is, a Christian vision of humanity. In addition, this dissertation endeavours to clarify Hlond’s theology of the Nation, as well as to present the Christian concept of the State. On the basis of Hlond’s teaching and actions, the concept of Church renewal was characterized.
