Abstract

Dzieje diecezji chełmińskiej 1945-1992 stanowią próbę ukazania najważniejszych procesów i faktów historycznych zachodzących w diecezji chełmińskiej, w przedstawionych ramach czasowych. Pierwszy rozdział to synteza informacji dotyczących sytuacji panującej w diecezji chełmińskiej w czasie trwania drugiej wojny światowej, wraz z jej konsekwencjami. Część druga zawiera biogramy biskupów diecezjalnych i pomocniczych oraz administratora apostolskiego, które zostały wzbogacone opisami osobistego wkładu każdego z nich w rozwój diecezji chełmińskiej. Rozdział trzeci przedstawia rozwój instytucji centralnych, takich jak: kuria, sąd, seminarium duchowne, kapituły, archiwum i muzeum. Kolejna część natomiast ukazuje proces rozwoju sieci dekanalnej oraz historie sanktuariów diecezjalnych. Przedmiotem rozważań rozdziału piątego stały się sprawy dotyczące formacji duchowieństwa - tak diecezjalnego, jak i zakonnego, a także wierni świeccy, którzy scharakteryzowani zostali z punktu widzenia demograficznego. Szósty blok dysertacji poświęcony został zagadnieniu duszpasterstwa i życia religijnego w diecezji oraz objął kwestie katechizacji. Ostatni rozdział przedstawia działalność religijno-społeczną oraz kulturalną Kościoła chełmińskiego. Podstawą dla opisu przedstawionych dziejów - poza literaturą i pismami urzędowymi - stały się zbiory akt Archiwum Diecezjalnego w Pelplinie.The dissertation “The history of the Chełmno diocese 1945-1992” is an attempt to show the most important historical processes and facts that took place in the Chełmno diocese in the presented time frame. The first chapter presents a synthesis of the situation in the diocese of Chełmno during the Second World War and its aftermaths. The second part contains the biographies of the diocesan and auxiliary bishops and the apostolic administrator. It has been enriched with descriptions of personal contributions of each of them to the development of the diocese. The third chapter presents the development of central institutions, such as: curia, diocesan court, seminary, cathedral and collegiate chapters, archive, and museum. The next part shows the process of development of the decanal network and the history of diocesan sanctuaries. The fifth chapter concentrates on matters concerning the formation of the clergy - both diocesan and religious, as well as the lay faithful, who were characterised from the demographic point of view. The sixth block of the dissertation was devoted to pastoral ministry and religious life in the diocese, which also covered the issues of catechesis. The last chapter presents the religious, social, and cultural activities of the Chełmno Church. The basis for the description of the presented history - apart from secondary literature and official letters - were the records of the Diocesan Archives in Pelplin.
