Abstract

Recenzowana książka pod redakcją wybitnych współczesnych profesorów katechetyki: Enzo Biemmiego i Andre Fossion'a stanowi dokumentację prac Kongresu Europejskiej Ekipy Katechetycznej, który miał miejsce w Lizbonie (Portugalia) w 2008 r. Pierwsza część, złożona z trzech artykułów, dotyczy problemów teoretycznych. Kardynał Jose da Cruz Policarpo mówi o sytuacji i definicji misji we współczesnej Europie. Cesare Bissoli w drugim artykule podkreśla, że poszukiwania naukowe poświęcone pierwszemu głoszeniu nie mają charakteru poszukiwań archeologicznych, lecz są aktem pamięci o wielkim znaczeniu dogmatycznym i pastoralnym. Trzeci tekst jest autorstwa Jordi d’Arquer i Terrasa. Autor wyraża żal, że Obrzędy wtajemniczenia chrześcijańskiego pozostały tylko w niektórych zakrystiach i przez ogół są ignorowane. Następnie przedstawia postulaty dotyczące konieczności uwzględnienia zjawiska katechumenatu i wskazuje tylko ogólnie kierunki rozwoju katechezy. Wartością merytoryczną wszystkich rozważań jest liczba informacji pastoralnych i organizacyjnych. Pozytywne jest również to, że niektórzy autorzy prowokują do dyskusji, przez co pośrednio kształtują nowe spojrzenie czytelnika na koncepcję współczesnej katechezy i jej zadań w społeczeństwie pluralistycznym. Przeprowadzone przez autorów analizy i przedstawione wyniki badań mogą być pomocne w poszukiwaniu rozwiązań pastoralno-katechetycznych, adekwatnych do wyzwań, które rodzą się we współczesnej Europie. Widać, że kultura zachodnia, w której być dobrym obywatelem niegdyś znaczyło być dobrym chrześcijaninem i vice versa, już nie istnieje, stąd wypływa konieczność misyjnego przeorientowania katechezy.

The reviewed book, edited by eminent contemporary professors of catechetics: Enzo Biemmi and Andre Fossion, documents the work of the Congress of the European Catechetical Team held in Lisbon (Portugal) in 2008. The first part, made up of three articles, deals with theoretical problems. Cardinal Jose da Cruz Policarpo talks about the situation and definition of mission in contemporary Europe. Cesare Bissoli, in the second article, stresses that the scientific search dedicated to the first proclamation is not an archaeological search, but an act of remembrance with great dogmatic and pastoral significance. The third text is by Jordi d'Arquer and Terras. The author regrets that the Rites of Christian Initiation remain only in some vestries and are ignored by the general public. He then goes on to postulate on the need to take into account the phenomenon of the catechumenate and indicates only in general terms the directions for the development of catechesis. The merit of all the reflections is the amount of pastoral and organisational information. It is also positive that some of the authors provoke discussion, thus indirectly shaping the reader's new perspective on the concept of contemporary catechesis and its tasks in a pluralistic society. The analyses carried out by the authors and the research results presented can be helpful in the search for pastoral-catechetical solutions adequate to the challenges that arise in contemporary Europe. It can be seen that Western culture, in which being a good citizen used to mean being a good Christian and vice versa, no longer exists, hence the need for a missionary reorientation of catechesis.
