| dc.description.abstract | Celem niniejszej rozprawy było wszechstronne omówienie istoty człowieka w świetle filozoficznych dociekań Karola Wojtyły – św. Jana Pawła II; jednocześnie podjęto próbę ukazania, że jego ujęcie istoty człowieka leży u podstaw wszystkich podejmowanych przez niego rozważań o osobie ludzkiej i ma kluczowe znaczenie dla zrozumienia personalistycznej antropologii filozoficznej oraz opartej na niej etyki. Wojtyła buduje swą teorię istoty człowieka w oparciu o kategorię „substancji”, odkrytą przez Arystotelesa i opracowaną na nowo przez św. Tomasza z Akwinu i tomistów. Oznacza to egzystencjalne ujęcie istoty jako istniejącej realnie, konkretnie i jednostkowo; takie ujęcie istoty oddane jest przez złożenie „substancja-istota”, w którym pierwszy człon („substancja”) dotyczy konkretnego wsobnego istnienia (existentia per se) danego bytu substancjalnego, a drugi człon („istota”) wskazuje na, realnie istniejącą pod tym istnieniem, treść decydującą o tym, czym ten byt jest: czy jest człowiekiem, kotem czy psem. Jednostkowy „byt-substancja-istota” jest samodzielnym bytem-podmiotem w odróżnieniu od jego właściwości, zwanych w tomizmie „przypadłościami”, które nie istnieją samodzielnie, lecz są zapodmiotowane w tym bycie; i tak, na przykład, ludzka świadomość nie jest jakimś samodzielnym bytem-podmiotem poznania, lecz jest „właściwością-przypadłością” zapodmiotowaną w konkretnie istniejącym człowieku (Janie, Ewie itd.). Zauważając to, Wojtyła przeciwstawia się charakterystycznej dla „filozofii świadomości” absolutyzacji świadomości; taka procedura czyni „istotą” człowieka jego właściwość-przypadłość, jaką jest świadomość. The aim of this dissertation was a comprehensive discussion of the essence of man in light philosophical investigations of Karol Wojtyla - Saint John Paul II; at the same time an attempt was made showing that his approach to the essence of man lies at the basis of all undertaken by it considers the human person and is crucial for understanding the personalist philosophical anthropology and ethics based on it. Wojtyla builds his theory of the essence of man based on the category of "substance”, discovered by Aristotle and reworked by Saint. Thomas Aquinas and the Thomists. This means an existential approach to being as existing in reality, concretely and individually; such an approach to essence is expressed by the compound "substance-essence”, in which the first element (“substance”) refers to the specific innate existence (existentia per se) of a given being substantial, and the second part ("essence”) indicates the substance that actually exists beneath this existence, content that determines what this entity is: whether it is a human, a cat or a dog. The individual "being substance-essence” is an independent being subject as opposed to its properties, called "accidents" in Thomism, which do not exist independently, but they are subjected in this being; and so, for example, human consciousness is not some an independent entity-subject of cognition, but is a "property accident" subjectified in a concretely existing human being (John, Eve, etc.). Noticing this, Wojtyla opposes the absolutization typical of the "philosophy of consciousness", awareness; such a procedure makes the "essence" of a person his property-accident that he is awareness. | |
