Ikonografia Chrystusa nauczającego w świątyni (Łk 2, 41-50) na przykładach sztuki polskiej (XV - 1 poł. XVI w.) w kontekście sztuki europejskiej

Abstract

Rozprawa doktorska składa się z trzech rozdziałów oraz katalogu. W pierwszej części przedstawiono źródła literackie Nauczania Jezusa. Najpierw omówiono opowiadanie o dwunastoletnim Chrystusie z Ewangelii według świętego Łukasza w oparciu o komentarze teologiczne, w tym teksty Ojców Kościoła. Następnie poddano analizie apokryfy. Średniowieczne żywoty Zbawiciela podzielono na dwie grupy – teksty europejskie i polskie. Drugi rozdział dotyczy ikonografii motywu do XIV stulecia. Na początku został zatem opisany schemat wyobrażeniowy. Analizę dzieł ze zbiorów europejskich i polskich przeprowadzono pod względem aspektów – Chrystusa, słuchaczy, Rodziców i architektury. Dalej, przedstawiono przykłady Podróży Świętej Rodziny do Jerozolimy i Nazaretu, a także Maryi prowadzącej Jezusa do szkoły. W trzecim rozdziale ukazano typologię, która pojawia się także w Katalogu. Podstawę stanowi postać Chrystusa usytuowana w centrum, po lewej czy po prawej stronie kompozycji. Następnie, zostali omówieni słuchający mowy Chrystusa, Rodzice, a także wnętrze Świątyni Jerozolimskiej. Polskie przykłady poprzedzają europejskie analogie. Katalog przedstawia dzieła z polskich zbiorów. Podano najważniejsze informacje o konkretnych przykładach, przytoczono ich historię oraz bibliografię.

The doctoral dissertation consists of three chapters and a catalogue. The first part presents the literary sources. First, the story about the twelve-year-old Christ from the Gospel according to Saint Luke is discussed, based on theological commentaries, including the texts of the Fathers of the Church. Then the apocrypha was analysed. Medieval Lives of the Saviour were divided into two groups - European and Polish texts. The second chapter deals with the iconography of the motif up to the 14th century. At the beginning, an imaginary scheme was described. The analysis of works from European and Polish collections was carried out in terms of aspects - Christ, his listeners, Parents and architecture. Further, examples of the Journey of the Holy Family to Jerusalem and Nazareth are presented, as well as unique scenes of Mary leading Jesus to school. The third chapter presents a typology that also appears in the Catalogue. The basis is the figure of Christ located in the center, on the left or right side of the composition. Then, those who listened to Christ's speech were discussed, Parents, as well as the interior of the Jerusalem Temple. Polish examples precede European analogies. The catalogue presents works from Polish collections. The most important information about specific examples is provided, along with their history and bibliography.
