Urząd Patriarchy w postanowieniach Ormiańskiego Synodu Narodowego z 1911 roku
Abstract
The dissertation presented here analyses patriarch's function and his hierarchical position specified in the provisions of the Armenian National Synod of 1911. The patriarch's office has been part of the image of the Armenian Church from the very beginning, and it takes legal shape as a separate administrative unit in 1742, that is, as the catholic patriarchate of the House of Cilicia. The second chapter of this discourse provides a historical as well as theological and legal analysis of the shaping of the patriarch's function, including the Armenian patriarchate, throughout the first and second millennium of the Church. The final chapter of discourse in an in-depth analysis of the issue of the status of the patriarch's office, specified in provisions of the Armenian National Synod of 1911. The juridical explication of these provisions shows the continuity and fidelity of the canonical tradition established over the centuries in the particular synods of the other Churches and the ecumenical councils of the first as well as the second millennium of Christianity. The analysis of the topic was carried out by the historical as well the theological and legal method, based on the teaching of the Ecumenical Councils of the first and second millennium and on the particular law of the Synods of the American Church.
