Abstract
W artykule zostały omówione współczesne wyzwania dla duszpasterstwa parafialnego i sposoby wychodzenia im naprzeciw. Największymi wyzwaniami w zakresie funkcji nauczycielskiej są niski poziom wiedzy religijnej parafian oraz selektywizm w akceptacji prawd wiary i zasad moralności chrześcijańskiej. W zakresie funkcji kapłańskiej do najpoważniejszych wyzwań należy zaliczyć zmniejszający się odsetek uczestniczących w liturgii, zwłaszcza we Mszy św., katolików modlących się oraz obchodzących w duchu religijnym święta rodzinne i kościelne. Wyzwaniami w zakresie funkcji pasterskiej są: spadek autorytetu duchownych oraz relatywnie niewielkie zaangażowanie parafian w radach duszpasterskich i zrzeszeniach religijnych. Wszystkie te wyzwania wymagają nowych sposobów duszpasterzowania, podejmowanych dzięki zastosowaniu analizy obecnej sytuacji społeczno-religijnej, oraz wzmożonej gorliwości duchownych i zaangażowanych świeckich parafian.
The article constitutes an elaboration on the contemporary challenges for the pastoral care of the family and on the methods of dealing with the challenges. The toughest challenges in the sphere of the teaching function are: the low level of religious knowledge of parishioners and the selective choice of acceptance of the truths of faith and of the Christian moral principles. The most serious challenges in the sphere of the priestly function include the decreasing number of the people who participate in liturgy, especially in the Holy Mass, of the Catholics who pray and of those who celebrate family and church holidays. The challenges in the sphere of the pastoral function are: the loss of the authority of the clergy, the relatively low engagement of parishioners in the parish pastoral councils and in religious associations. All of these challenges require new methods of conducting pastoral care, which should be undertaken with the application of the analysis of the present social and religious conditions and with intensive devotion of clergymen and of the engaged lay parishioners.
