Abstract
Rozprawa ukazuje rzeczywistość i praktykę duszpasterstwa emigracji polskiej w Wielkiej Brytanii w latach 1989-2019, od transformacji ustrojowej i gospodarczej w Polsce, gdy ponad 2,5 mln emigrantów przybyło na Wyspy Brytyjskie, po brexit. Przedstawia zjawisko migracji w świetle Biblii oraz nauczania patrystycznego, omawia troskę o migrantów we współczesnym nauczaniu Kościoła, dokumentach soborowych i posoborowych oraz instrukcjach pastoralnych. Zarysowuje podstawy teologiczne duszpasterstwa "ludzi w drodze" i wskazania do prowadzenia duszpasterstwa zwyczajnego i nadzwyczajnego. Ukazuje historyczne, społeczne i eklezjalne uwarunkowania duszpasterstwa polonijnego w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz kontekst współpracy z Kościołem katolickim i Kościołami narodowymi Anglii i Szkocji, nakreśla współczesne struktury tegoż duszpasterstwa. Rozprawa prezentuje formy pracy pastoralnej w ramach duszpasterstwa zwyczajnego oparte na funkcjach Kościoła: nauczania, uświęcania i posługi pasterskiej, szczegółowo omawia edukację religijną dzieci i młodzieży, katechezę dla dorosłych prowadzoną w parafiach, celebrację liturgii sakramentów i działalność charytatywno-społeczną. Przedstawia duszpasterstwo nadzwyczajne, jak: działalność patriotyczną, pielgrzymkową i formacyjną, oświatową i edukacyjną, a zwłaszcza formację świeckich. działalność stowarzyszeń, formację narzeczonych i par małżeńskich, troskę o migrantów i uchodźców. Rozprawa ukazuje główne rysy i cechy duszpasterstwa polonijnego w Wielkiej Brytanii będącego wyrazem działalności zbawczej Kościoła dla polskiej emigracji.
The dissertation presents the reality and practice of the pastoral care of Pulish emigration in the United Kingdom in the years 1989-2019, from the political and economic transformation in Poland, when more than 2.5 million emigrants arrived in the British Isles, to Brexit. It presents the phenomenon of migration in the light ot the Bible and patristic teaching and discusses the concern for migrants in contemporary Catholic Church teaching, conciliar and post-conciliar documents and pastoral instructions. Outlines the theological basis for the pastoral care of'people on the move' and indications for ordinary and extraordinary pustoral care. It shows the historical, social and ecclesial conditions of the Polish pastoral ministry in Great Britain and the context of cooperation with die Catholic Church and the National Churches of England and Scotland, outlines the contemoprary structures of this pastoral ministry. The dissertation presents the forms of pastoral work within ordinary pastoral ministry based on the functions of the Church: teaching, sanctification and pastoral ministry, discusses in detail the religious education of children and young people, catechesis for adults conducted in parishes, celebration of the liturgy of the sacraments and charitable and social activities. It presents extraordinary pastoral activities such as: patriotic, pilgrimage, formation and educational activities, especially the ormation of the laity, the activities of associations, the formation of married couples, care for migrants and refugees. The dissertation shows the main features and characteristics of the Polish pastoral minitsry in Great Britain being an expression of the Church's salvific activity for the Polish emigration.
