Abstract
Korelacja (łac. cum współ-, relatio zależność) w katechezie to wzajemny proces współzależności ludzkiej egzystencji i orędzia chrześcijańskiego w konkretnym historycznym wcieleniu Słowa Bożego. To wierność katechezy tajemnicy wcielenia. Zasada korelacji w katechezie nigdy nie powinna być absolutyzowana i posiada pewne ograniczenia. Podstawową prawdą, którą uwzględnia katecheza, jest fakt absolutnie bezinteresownej i nieograniczonej inicjatywy zbawczej Boga. Plan zbawienia nie jest niczym uwarunkowany. Korelacja w katechezie posiada więc dużo ograniczeń i jest adekwatna do scharakteryzowania tylko w części relacji, które zachodzą w różnych elementach przekazu katechetycznego. Korelacja bazuje na wzajemnych stosunkach zależności, we wzajemnej autonomii i wkładu każdego z elementów. Możemy ją stosować na katechezie, pamiętając jednak, że Bóg w każdym momencie życia człowieka, ze Swojej całkowicie darmowej inicjatywy i bez żadnego pytania, czy zamiaru człowieka może się objawić i udzielić siebie.
Correlation (Latin cum cor-, relatio dependence) in catechesis is the reciprocal process of interdependence of human existence and the Christian message in the concrete historical incarnation of the Word of God. It is catechesis's fidelity to the mystery of the incarnation. The principle of correlation in catechesis should never be absolutized and has certain limitations. The fundamental truth that catechesis takes into account is the fact of God's absolutely selfless and unlimited salvific initiative. The plan of salvation is not conditioned by anything. Thus, correlation in catechesis has many limitations and is adequate to characterize only in part the relationships that occur in the various elements of the catechetical message. Correlation is based on mutual relations of dependence, in the mutual autonomy and contribution of each element. We can use it in catechesis, keeping in mind, however, that God can reveal Himself and give Himself at any moment of man's life, on His own free initiative and without any question or intention on the part of man.
