Relacje między naukami przyrodniczymi a teologią chrześcijańską w świetle twórczości Johna Polkinghorne’a jako fizyka i teologa
Abstract
Postawiona w pracy hipoteza dotyczy bliskiego pokrewieństwa między naukami przyrodniczymi a teologicznymi. Głównym celem pracy jest umotywowanie tej hipotezy. Cele szczegółowe to: ukazanie przedmiotu, celu i metod stosowanych w naukach przyrodniczych oraz w teologii, a także ukazanie relacji między tymi naukami. Rozdział 1 dotyczy przedmiotu nauk przyrodniczych, oraz celu tych nauk, a także stosowanych w ich ramach metod. Rozdział 2 poświęcony jest naukom teologicznym - ich przedmiotowi, celowi i metodom. Rozdział 3 zawiera treści dotyczące relacji między naukami przyrodniczymi a teologią. W rozdziale tym przedstawiono również współczesne rozumienie teologii naturalnej. Rozdział 4 przedstawia interdyscyplinarne spojrzenie na Boże działanie, odnoszące się do czasu stworzenia, czasów obecnych oraz przyszłych (eschatologia). Cel mojej pracy ma charakter apologetyczny i wiąże się z dostarczeniem argumentów na rzecz tezy, że nauki przyrodnicze nie tylko nie sprzeciwiają się wierze w Boga, lecz stanowią dopełnienie wiedzy teologicznej.
The hypothesis stated in the work concerns the close relationship between the natural sciences and theology. The main goal of the work is to activate the hypothesis. The specific goal is to present the subject, goal and method applied in the natural sciences and theology. Chapter 1 concerns the subject of the natural sciences, including the goal of these sciences and the methods they use. Chapter 2 is devoted to theological sciences, their subject, purpose and methods. Chapter 3 contains material on the relationship between the natural sciences and theology. This chapter also presents a contemporary understanding of natural theology. Chapter 4 presents an interdisciplinary look at God's action, relating to the time of creation, the present and the future (eschatology). The aim of my work is of an apologetic nature and is related to providing arguments in favor of the thesis that the natural sciences not only do not contradict faith in God, but complement theological knowledge.
