Kult Matki Bożej w sanktuarium w Sejnach w latach 1918-2018

Abstract

Mając na względzie tak ważną obecność Maryi w kulcie chrześcijańskim, mianowicie w Kościele katolickim i prawosławiu, a także pobożność ludową, podjęto się opracowania tematyki maryjnej w sanktuarium w Sejnach, w diecezji ełckiej. Temat opracowania brzmi: Kult Matki Bożej w Sejnach w latach 1918-2018. Studium liturgiczno-pastoralne. Głównym zagadnieniem pracy jest ukazanie kultu maryjnego i jego oddziaływanie na wiernych na przestrzeni stu lat. Wybrano okres stu lat na prezentację kultu maryjnego w Sejnach, poczynając od pamiętnej daty odzyskania niepodległości przez Polskę w roku 1918. W 1975 r. miało miejsce wiekopomne, jakże znaczące dla parafii wydarzenie, mianowicie koronacja cudownej figury Madonny Sejneńskiej. Był to pierwszy przypadek koronacji statuy maryjnej. Dotychczas koronowano tylko obrazy, co przyznał główny koronator w Sejnach Stefan kardynał Wyszyński, Prymas Polski. Wydaje się, że temat wiary we współczesnym świecie stanowi duży problem z uwagi na szerzącą się laicyzację. Na pewno ciekawa i pouczająca będzie konfrontacja obecnych wyników ankiety z wynikami badań przeprowadzonymi, np. za 10 lat. Czy wiara, praktyki i moralność oraz relacja do Kościoła i oddawanie kultu Matce Bożej w sejneńskim sanktuarium (także w konsekwencji w świecie) będą się znacząco różnić? Czy będzie to postęp i pogłębienie religijności, czy może nastąpi regres wiary? Odpowiedzi na te pytania warto pozostawić przyszłym badaniom, do których inspiruje niniejsza rozprawa.Bearing in mind such an important presence of Mary in Christian worship, namely in the Catholic Church and Orthodoxy, as well as the popular piety (folk religiousness), it was undertaken to develop Marian themes in the sanctuary in Sejny, in the Ełk diocese. The subject of the study is The cult of the Mother of God in the sanctuary in Sejny in the years 1918-2018. Liturgical and pastoral study. The main problem of the work is to show the Marian cult and its impact on believers in a hundred years. A period of one hundred years was chosen for the presentation of the Marian cult in Sejny, starting with the memorable date of Poland regaining independence in 1918. In 1975, a memorable and significant event for the parish took place, namely the long-awaited coronation of the miraculous figure of the Madonna of Sejny. It was the first time that a Marian statue was crowned, because so far only paintings were crowned, which was admitted by the chief coroner in Sejny, Stefan Cardinal Wyszyński, the Primate of Poland. It seems that the issue of faith in the contemporary world is a big problem due to the widespread secularization. It will certainly be interesting and informative to compare the current results of the survey with the result of research carried out, for example, in the 10 years. Will faith, religious practices, and morality as well as the relation to the Church and worshiping the Mother of God in the Sejny sanctuary (also consequently in the world) differ significantly? Will it be a progress and deepening of religiosity, or will there be a regression of faith? It is worth leaving the answers to these questions to the future research to which this dissertation inspires.
