Abstract

"Towards Virtue Ethics: Action and Morality in Elizabeth Anscombe and Karol Wojtyła" the work was searched for answers to such key questions as: 1. Can the philosophy of Anscombe and Wojtyła find the foundation of the ethics of virtue? 2. How does deed and morality relate to ethics of virtue? 3. What are the challenges of constructing a virtue ethics on the basis of the ethical view of Anscombe and Karol Wojtyła? It is obvious that the main characters of the work are Elizabeth Anscombe and Karol Wojtyła, both philosophers of morality, although belonging to completely different traditions, respectively analytical and Thomistic.
