dc.description.abstract	Jak zauważył Mieczysław Goldberg, uproszczenie nowoczesnego widzenia spowodowało, że linia stała się najlepszym środkiem wyrazu sztuki nowoczesnego artysty. Linia nie tylko zdominowała dwuwymiarowe ze swojej natury malarstwo, ale także śmiało wkroczyła w świat rzeźby, powodując z czasem zatarcie ostrych granic poszczególnych dyscyplin sztuk plastycznych. W tekście, oprócz ogólnych rozważań na temat tego zagadnienia i początków zjawiska, zostaną przedstawione wybrane przykłady polskich dzieł rzeźbiarskich z lat 60. XX wieku, realizujących postulat rzeźby jako „rysunku w przestrzeni”, autorstwa Edwarda Krasińskiego (m.in. Dzidy) i Aliny Ślesińskiej („propozycje dla architektury”).	pl
dc.description.sponsorship	Mieczysław Goldberg in his essay La Morale des Lignes (Paris 1908), noticed that the modern simplification of the way that the world is perceived contributed to treating the line as the best mode of expression of modern artist. Lines not only dominated two-dimensional painting by their very nature but they also entered the world of sculpture, gradually erasing the sharp borders between the two artistic disciplines. The aim of this article is to juxtapose the most characteristic phenomena concerning the issue of sculpture which may be understood as a line in space, it begins with the experiments of cubists (using paper-thin spaces defined by flattened overlapping planes) and constructivist artists (treating lines as the directions static forces – Antoine Pevsner, Nahum Gabo, or as a building and constructing agent in a broad social dynamic – Rodchenko), through to the “drawing in space” attributed to Alexander Calder, and then to Pablo Picasso and Julio González with their metal works from the end of the 1920s and 1930s, up to the postwar neo-avantgarde practices in the 1950s and 1960s of David Smith and Anthony Caro. Apart from general reflections about the topic there are also a couple of selected examples of Polish sculptures from the 1960s explained: the works of Edward Krasiński (Dzidy – eng. Spears) and Alina Ślesińska (“propositions for architecture”, like Mosty – eng. Bridges, and Miasto na wodzie – eng. City on the Water).	pl
