Abstract

The present article reflects upon the topic of the 2014/15 liturgical year’s slogan in relation to the lives and the service of priests. The author concentrated on four aspects which are crucial to the priests’ service and life: the sensitivity to the community dimension of priesthood, the ability to be surprised by God's love, the humble and liberating awareness of one’s own insignificance against the love of Jesus, a living faith in the Gospel. Each of the mentioned dimensions was shown in conjunction with the words calling for repentance and faith, which open the public ministry of Jesus Christ.
