Abstract
W dysertacji przedstawiam poglądy Carla Mitchama, czołowego myśliciela w dziedzinie filozofii techniki. Przedstawiam, rekonstruuję i oceniam jego koncepcje dotyczące różnych aspektów techniki, w tym tożsamości filozofii techniki, jej relacji do filozofii nauki, historii techniki, filozofii inżynierii oraz form techniki i jej relacji do człowieka. Rozprawa składa się z czterech rozdziałów oraz zawiera spis treści, wstęp i wnioski oraz streszczenie w języku angielskim i indeks nazwisk. W dysertacji przedstawiam: 1) analizy Mitchama dotyczące pojęcia techniki i jej relacji do historii techniki i filozofii nauki, 2) analizy dotyczące stanowiska o istnieniu dwóch tradycji w filozofii techniki i postulatu ich syntezy, 3) form, w jakiej technika istnieje w świecie i ich filozoficznych konotacji, 4) recepcji poglądów Mitchama i wniosków, jakie płyną z jego analiz.
The dissertation presents the views of Carl Mitcham, a leading thinker in the field of philosophy of technology. It presents, reconstructs and evaluates his ideas on various aspects of technology, including the identity of the philosophy of technology, its relation to the philosophy of science, the history of technology, the philosophy of engineering, and the forms of technology and its relation to man. The dissertation consists of four chapters and includes a table of contents, introduction and conclusion. It also has an abstract in English and an index of names. In the dissertation, which is divided into four chapters, I present 1) Mitcham's analyses of the concept of technology and its relation to the history of technology and the philosophy of science, 2) analyses of the position on the existence of two traditions in the philosophy of technology and the postulate of their synthesis, 3) the forms in which technology exists in the world and their philosophical connotations, 4) the reception of Mitcham's views and the conclusions drawn from his analyses.
