Abstract
Artykuł przedstawia podejście do wczesnej edukacji i opieki nad dzieckiem ujmowanej jako proces wzajemnych relacji, usług i opieki kierowanych do dzieci od urodzenia do rozpoczęcia obowiązkowej nauki szkolnej, szczególnie ze względu na integralny stosunek do osoby wychowanka od początku życia. Opisuje podstawowe wymogi jakości wczesnej edukacji i opieki nad dzieckiem w teorii i praktyce edukacji katolickiej w jej aspekcie historycznym. Na tle strategii i wymogów stosowanych obecnie w Europie wskazuje na aktualność, potrzebę i wartość ich wykorzystania współcześnie. Jeżeli pod względem systemu, struktur, podstaw prawnych i organizacyjnych poziom i dostępność wczesnej edukacji i opieki nad dzieckiem będzie taki, jak zakłada się w strategii, to należy w tych warunkach zrealizować wysokiej jakości pedagogię opartą na adekwatnej dla osoby ludzkiej pedagogice.
This article presents an approach to early childhood education and child care grasped as a process of mutual relations, services and care to children from birth to the start of compulsory schooling especially due to the integral relationship to the person pupil from the beginning of life. Describes the basic requirements for the quality of early childhood education and care in the theory and practice of Catholic education in its historical aspect. Against the background of the strategies and requirements currently used in Europe, it indicates the timeliness, need and value of their use today. If in terms of the system, structures, legal and organizational grounds, the level and accessibility of early childhood education and care will be as assumed in the strategy, it is necessary to implement high quality pedagogy based on a pedagogy adequate for the human person.
