Abstract
Artykuł stanowi prezentację życia i dorobku Henryka Insadowskiego (1888-1946), dziekana Wydziału Prawa Kanonicznego w latach akademickich 1937/1938-1938/1939 oraz 1945/1946. Ukazuje jego zatrudnienie na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim, prowadzone zajęcia dydaktyczne, dorobek naukowy oraz pełnione funkcje. W latach 1924-1939 był dyrektorem tworzonej i rozwijającej się Biblioteki Uniwersyteckiej KUL. Dnia 31 stycznia 1934 r. Senat Akademicki, zatwierdzając statut Polskiej Korporacji Akademickiej Concordia, powołał ks. prof. H. Insadowskiego na kuratora tej organizacji. W latach 1935-1937 sprawował urząd prodziekana; na urząd ten został wybrany na rok akad. 1939/1940. W latach 1937-1939 pełnił funkcję dziekana Wydziału Prawa Kanonicznego. Po zakończeniu II wojny światowej ks. prof. H. Insadowski objął funkcję dziekana Wydziału Prawa Kanonicznego KUL na rok akad. 1945/1946. Jest autorem licznych prac z zakresu prawa kanonicznego i prawa rzymskiego. Opublikował m.in. monografie: Res sacrae w prawie rzymskim. Studium z sakralnego prawa rzymskiego (Lublin 1931), Rzymskie prawo małżeńskie a chrześcijaństwo (Lublin 1935) oraz Prawo rzymskie u Horacego (Lublin 1935).
The article presents the life and professional achievements of Henryk Insadowski (1888-1946), Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law in the academic years 1937/1938-1938/1939 and 1945/1946. It focuses on his professional career at the Catholic University of Lublin, the types of classes and lectures he taught, his academic achievements and the offices he held. In the years 1924-1939 he was Head of the University Library KUL, which was still in the process of creation and development. On 31 January 1934, after adopting the statute of the Polish Academic Fraternity Concordia, the Academic Senate appointed Professor Insadowski as Curator of the Fraternity. In the years 1935-1937 he held the office of Vice Dean. He was also elected for this office for the academic year 1939/1940. In the years 1937-1939 he held the office of Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law. After the end of WWII, Prof. Insadowski was further appointed as Dean of the Faculty of Canon Law in the academic year 1945/1946. He is the author of numerous publications from the field of canon law and Roman law. He published, among others, several monographic studies: Res Sacrae in Roman Law. Studies in Roman Sacral Law (Lublin 1931), Roman Marital Law and Christianity (Lublin 1935) and Roman Law in the Works of Horace (Lublin 1935).
