Abstract
Celem pracy jest ukazanie działalności charytatywnej w płaszczyźnie norm Kościoła, praktycznej ich realizacji w Polsce oraz wniosków i postulatów dotyczących udoskonalenia tego sektora kościelnej praktyki w przyszłości. Do realizacji założonego celu wykorzystano dokumenty Kościoła współczesnego, literaturę przedmiotu oraz własne badania socjologiczne. Autor przebadał 275 proboszczów z 11 diecezji i 2 zgromadzeń zakonnych oraz 394 katolików świeckich z 8 parafii miejskich i 8 parafii wiejskich. Dobór próby był celowy. Narzędziem badań był kwestionariusz ankiety obejmujący 57 pytań. Praca ma charakter interdyscyplinarny, a jako metodę przyjęto schemat sylogizmu praktycznego, w ramach którego zastosowano wiele metod szczegółowych. Praca składa się z 3 części, z których każda zawiera 3 rozdziały. Część I (normatywna) przedstawia istotę i teologiczne podstawy posługi charytatywnej Kościoła, zadania charytatywne wszystkich grup Ludu Bożego oraz przedmiot działalności charytatywnej. Część II (socjologiczna) opisuje stan świadomości duszpasterzy i katolików na temat posługi charytatywnej Kościoła oraz środowiska i formy jej realizacji we współczesnej Polsce. Część III (prakseologiczna) ukazuje kierunki odnowy formacji charytatywnej duchownych i świeckich, postulaty odnowy struktur organizacyjnych oraz doskonalenia form i metod działalności charytatywnej Kościoła w Polsce.
The aim of this work is to present charitable activity with reference to the regulations of the Church, their practical application in Poland and conclusions and suggestions concerning the future improvement of this particular area of the Church’s service. In order to fulfill this aim, the author applied the documents of the contemporary Church, the literature treating the subject at issue and personal sociological research. 275 vicars from 11 dioceses and 2 orders and 394 lay Catholics from 8 urban and 8 rural parishes were tested. The selection of the sample was intentional. The tool for this survey was a questionnaire comprising 57 questions. The character of the work is interdisciplinary and the method employed is that of practical syllogism which constituted the source of a number of specific methods that were applied. The work consists of three parts, each of which is divided into three chapters. The first (normative) part presents the essence and theological foundations of the charitable service of the Church, charitable duties of all members of the People of God and the subject of charitable activity. The second (sociological) part strives to describe the state of awareness of priests and Catholics regarding the charitable service of the Church, its environment and ways of carrying it out in contemporary Poland. The third (praxiological) part depicts the directions of the revival of charity formation of both priests and laypeople and the suggestions concerning the revival of the organization structures and improvement of the forms and methods of the charitable activity of the Church in Poland.
