Abstract
Edycja krytyczna spuścizny Edmunda Bojanowskiego stworzyła warunki do rekonstrukcji ujęcia wychowania i systemu wczesnej edukacji w postaci dzieła, którego plan przygotował. Zebrany przez niego materiał i redakcje tekstów poszczególnych części planu wskazują na zamiar opracowania zarówno podstaw teoretycznych tworzonego systemu edukacji w wymiarze strukturalnym i funkcjonalnym, którego fundamentem jest wczesne wychowanie, jak i praktycznych wskazań. Są one oparte na dogłębnej analizie dorobku ludzkości, praktyki i rozwijającej się refleksji pedagogicznej. Na bazie wstępnych założeń i w pełnym kontekście harmonijnie ujętych wymiarów natury, religii i historii oraz dziecka w integralnym ujęciu jego rozwoju i edukacji w sferze fizycznej, umysłowej i obyczajowej przystąpił do ukazania istoty procesu edukacji i jego realizacji określając środki kształcenia, a raczej kształtowania w poszczególnych wymiarach integralnego rozwoju osoby i metody edukacji. Na koniec wskazał zasady i formy organizacji instytucji. Tak przygotowany materiał, z zachowaniem struktury układu tekstu i oryginalności sformułowań, poszerza istotnie wiedzę na temat polskiej myśli edukacyjnej XIX wieku, a dzięki wzbogaceniu warsztatu badawczego, może przyczynić się do podjęcia namysłu nad nią w kontekście współczesnych wyzwań cywilizacyjnych i przemyślenia wielu szczegółowych zagadnień pedagogiki przedszkolnej.
The critical edition of Edmund Bojanowski's pedagogical legacy provided grounds for the reconstruction of the concept of upbringing and of an early education system from his original design. The material he collected and the editions of his texts in all their parts indicate his intention to develop both a theoretical basis for an educational system of his own - in its structural and functional dimensions anchored in the concept of early childhood education - as well as a framework of guidelines for educational practice. The system heavily relies on an in-depth analysis of civilisation achievements, pedagogical practices and of the developing pedagogical research. His initial assumptions included making use of harmoniously presented dimensions of nature, religion and history, as well as adopting a vision of the integral development of the child, embedded in the physical, mental and moral spheres. These made Bojanowski proceed towards defining the essence of the educational process and its practical implementation. He outlined his educational methodology and listed means of educating and upbringing, or rather influencing in particular dimensions of the integral development of the person. Finally, he indicated the principles and organisational forms for educational and upbringing institutions. The material prepared in this way, while preserving the structure of the text layout and originality of the formulations, significantly broadens the knowledge of the 19th-century Polish educational thought. By enriching the contemporary pedagogical workshop, the publication may contribute to the reflection on these ideas in the context of contemporary civilisation challenges, which may in turn lead to effective rethinking of many specific issues in preschool pedagogy.
