    Human Creativity in the Context of Creativity of God in Gen 1–2

    In the biblical perspective, stories about the creation of the world in Gen 1–2 remain to be the basis to a discussion about human creativity. The premise of the text – creation of man “in the image of God” – makes us assume that, according to the Bible, creativity of man is to be the image of God’s creativity. Verification of this thesis goes from presenting history of interpretation of the biblical idea, namely crea­tion of man “in the image of God,” then points to the need of analyzing the narrative of this phrase. Since the image of God presented in Gen 1 is not descriptive, the second part of the paper examines the way God reveals himself in this text through his creative action. The key to God’s creativity is his word of creation which he uses to differentiate created beings and establish relationships among them in order to build harmony in the newly founded world. The final part of the paper focuses on the analysis of verbs which in Gen 1–2 refer to human creativity; those verbs also point to their possible association with words as instru­ments for creating, organizing and arranging reality shaped by man. Following that comes the conclusion that God’s creativity is extended into creativity of man who was made “in the image of God.”

    Postulat animacji biblijnej duszpasterstwa w dokumencie Papieskiej Komisji Biblijnej Interpretacja Biblii w Kościele i w adhortacji apostolskiej Benedykta XVI Verbum Domini

    Przedmiotem analizy jest dokument Papieskiej Komisji Biblijnej „Interpretacja Biblii w Kościele”. Jest on najpierw odczytany w kontekście odnowy biblijnej, jaka miała miejsce w Kościele katolickim w XX wieku, w szczególności w związku z konstytucją Dei Verbum Soboru Watykańskiego II. Nowością dokumenty PKB jest położenie większego akcentu na kwestię aktualizacji i inkulturacji Biblii, jak również zwrócenie uwagi na duszpasterską rolę wspólnot podstawowych podejmujących lekturę Pisma Świętego. Pewną słabością dokumentu „Interpretacja Biblii w Kościele” jest zauważalny w nim brak współpracy biblistów z teologiami pastoralnymi. Ten mankament jest przezwyciężony w adhortacji Verbum Domini, której główny postulat zawiera się w „ubiblijnieniu całego duszpasterstwa”. W konsekwencji adhortacja stwarza nowe możliwości animacji biblijnej duszpasterstwa, rozwijając i pogłębiając postulaty wysunięte wcześniej w dokumencie „Interpretacji Biblii w Kościele”.

    Stwórcze działanie Bożego rûªḥ w Księdze Ezechiela

    Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie teologicznego znaczenia rûªḥ w Księdze Ezechiela. Aktywność stwórcza Bożego ducha jest analizowana w opowiadaniu o powołaniu prorockim Ezechiela (Ez 1–3) oraz w wizji doliny wyschniętych kości (37,1-14). Wystąpienie tego samego wyrażenia rûḥî („mój duch”) w 36,27; 37,14 i 39,29 potwierdza nie tylko charakter stwórczy Bożego ducha, ale również pozwala uznać go za hipostazę Boga. Wewnętrzne odrodzenie dokonane przez ducha Jahwe czyni nie tylko z Ezechiela, ale również z Izraelitów manifestację obecności Boga w świecie.

    The Dynamism of Salvation according to Isa 12:1-6

    The song of praise in Isa 12 is a confession of faith in Yahweh. Trust arises from the recognition of the activity of God in the history of Israel. In the historical events Israel can still re-experience the might of God, especially in the exodus, through which God makes his name known to the world. The name of Yahweh is inextricably connected with Israel, which is confirmedby the title the 'Holy One of Israel'. The title underlines the vital self-offering of God, who is dwelling among His people in Zion. In this context, the 'springs of salvation' are the metaphor of the salvific action of God, who through his words calls the people to abandon fear and to lean exclusively on the strength of his person. The trust in the word of Yahweh permits Israel to 'draw from the springs of salvation'. Iz 12,1-6 to pieśń wysławiająca Boga, który jest doświadczany przez proroka i jego słuchaczy jako zbawienie. Szczególnym znakiem tej zbawczej obecności Boga jest Syjon. To tam są usytuowane „zdroje zbawienia”, z których „będą czerpać z radością” adresaci pieśni. W kontekście Izajaszowej metaforyki wody związanej ze Syjonem Bóg objawia się jako zbawienie poprzez swoje słowa, którymi wzywa człowieka do porzucenia lęku i oparcia się wyłącznie na potędze Jego osoby. To orędzie Iz 12,1-6 zostało odczytane poprzez usytuowanie tej pieśni wewnątrz Księgi Izajasza, następnie poprzez analizę kompozycji pieśni w relacji do motywów soteriologicznych w niej obecnych, wreszcie poprzez analizę egzegetyczną, która skupiła się na trzech elementach: dynamice świadectwa o Bogu Zbawcy, charakterystyce Boga jako Zbawienie i tożsamości „zdrojów zbawienia” na Syjonie.

    The New Covenant Rhetoric in Ezekiel 11:14–21 and 36:16–38

    In the book of Ezekiel, the new covenant is announced in 11:14–21 and 36:16–38. Crucial to these prophecies is the future renewal of the heart and spirit of Israel. While the two prophecies share numerous similarities at the level of form and content, there are also fundamental disparities between them. These are not only due to differences concerning the inner renewal but also to the rhetorical dynamic of the new covenant. To describe this dynamic, we first examine the place of the announcement of inner renewal in these prophecies. Then we analyse the rhetorical structure of Ezek 11:17–20 and 36:24–28. Finally, on the basis of these analyses, we ask the question to what extent Daniel I. Block’s thesis of resumptive exposition in the book of Ezekiel can be applied to establish the rhetorical relationship between the prophecies in question. Rhetorical analysis allows us to conclude that they are part of a work-in-progress logic. Accordingly, various affirmations of the new covenant, announced in different historical contexts, are preserved in the book. Considering other Ezekiel prophecies on the new covenant, especially those on the covenant of peace in 34:25–30 and 37:26–28, one can speak not so much of a single covenant theology as of multiple covenant theologies in the book of Ezekiel.

    The Question about the Hypertextual Relations in the Book of Genesis Still Open

    The article is a critical review of the commentary by Bartosz Adamczewski – Genesis. A Hy­pertextual Commentary. After presenting the theses put forward by Adamczewski in his commentary on Genesis, the criteria of sequential hypertextuality implemented by Adamczewski and his method of de­limiting literary units that remain in hypertextual relations are critically reviewed. The methodological weakness of the hypertextual commentary on Genesis cannot be covered up by the creativity of the com­mentator.
