dc.description.abstractNiniejsza publikacja powstała z okazji 30. rocznicy pierwszego oficjalnego spotkania Jana Pawła II z grekokatolikami w Przemyślu, 30. rocznicy wejścia w życie Kodeksu Kanonów Kościołów Wschodnich oraz 20. rocznicy wizyty Jana Pawła II w Ukrainie. Zbieg ważnych rocznic był tłem do dyskusji o przepełnionej miłością i otwartością postawie Jana Pawła II wobec wiernych Ukraińskiego Kościoła Greckokatolickiego – aktualnie najliczniejszego katolickiego Kościoła wschodniego. Papież Polak odegrał ważną rolę w rozwoju tej wspólnoty wiernych, odbudowie jego struktur duszpasterskich w Polsce oraz w propagowaniu jedności w różnorodności Kościoła katolickiego. W publikacji zaprezentowano wybrane zagadnienia związane z miejscem Ukraińskiego Kościoła Greckokatolickiego w Kościele powszechnym, Kodeksem Kanonów Kościołów Wschodnich jako źródłem prawa dla Ukraińskiego Kościoła Greckokatolickiego, postawą Jana Pawła II wobec prześladowań Ukraińskiego Kościoła Greckokatolickiego, znaczeniem beatyfikacji księdza Emiliana Kowcza przez Jana Pawła II oraz Rolą Zgromadzenia Sióstr Służebnic NPM w działalności Ukraińskiego Kościoła Greckokatolickiego w Polsce.pl
dc.description.abstractThis publication was created on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the first official meeting of John Paul II with Greek Catholics in Przemyśl, the 30th anniversary of the entry into force of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches and the 20th anniversary of John Paul II's visit to Ukraine. The coincidence of important anniversaries was the background for a discussion about the loving and open attitude of John Paul II towards the faithful of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church - currently the most numerous Eastern Catholic Church. The Polish Pope played an important role in the development of this community of believers, the reconstruction of its pastoral structures in Poland and in promoting unity in the diversity of the Catholic Church. The publication presents selected issues related to the place of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the universal Church, the Code of Canons of the Eastern Churches as a source of law for the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the attitude of John Paul II towards the persecution of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the meaning of the beatification of priest Emilian Kowcz by John Paul II and the role of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the activities of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Poland.pl
