Odpowiedź na zastrzeżenia dziewięciu pozytywnych głosów Konsultorów Teologów względem Positio w procesie beatyfikacyjnym i kanonizacyjnym Sługi Bożego Kardynała Augusta Hlonda, Prymasa Polski

Abstract

Positio super vita, virtutibus, fama sanctitatis Sługi Bożego kard. Augusta Hlonda, prymasa Polski, członka Zgromadzenia Salezjańskiego oraz założyciela Societatis Christi pro Emigrantibus (1881-1948), została poddana głosowaniu na Specjalnym Kongresie Konsultorów Teologicznych w dniu 9 marca 2017 roku. Positio, której relatorem był ks. Ambroży Eszer OP, uzyskała jednogłośną aprobatę - dziewięć głosów "za" na dziewięć oddanych. W następstwie głosowania Postulacja Generalna Zgromadzenia Salezjańskiego została poproszona o odniesienie do kilku zastrzeżeń i pytań sformułowanych przez konsultorów. Dotyczyły one przede wszystkim okoliczności związanych z obsadą urzędów administratorów apostolskich w okresie bezpośrednio powojennym, a w szczególności kwestii prawdomówności prymasa Hlonda. Ponadto wskazano na brak udokumentowanej opinii ówczesnych biskupów niemieckich oraz na potencjalny wpływ ich "zastrzeżeń" na przebieg procesu. Wyrażono również wątpliwości co do heroicznego praktykowania przez Sługę Bożego cnót roztropności i sprawiedliwości. Ostatnia uwaga odnosiła się do problematyki ślubów zakonnych i przebiegu studiów. Niniejszy artykuł stanowi odpowiedź na powyższe zastrzeżenia.

The Positio super vita, virtutibus, fama sanctitatis of the Servant of God Cardinal August Hlond, Primate of Poland, member of the Salesian Society and founder of the Societas Christi pro Emigrantibus (1881-1948), was submitted to a vote at the special Congress of Theological Consultors on 9 March 2017. The Positio, for which the relator was Fr Ambrogio Eszer, OP, received unanimous approval - nine votes in favour out of nine cast. Following the vote, the General Postulation of the Salesian Society was invited to address several reservations and questions formulated by the Consultors. These concerned chiefly the circumstances surrounding the appointment of apostolic administrators in the immediate post-war period, and in particular the question of the truthfulness of Primate Hlond. Furthermore, attention was drawn to the absence of a documented opinion from the German bishops of the time, and to the potential influence of their "reservations" on the course of the process. Doubts were also expressed regarding the heroic practice by the Servant of God of the virtues of prudence and justice. The final remark concerned matters relating to religious wovs and the course of studies. The present article constitutes a resonse to the above reservations.
