Abstract
Celem badań ukazanych w niniejszym artykule jest analiza relacji między problematycznym używaniem Internetu (PUI) a ekspresją gniewu. Badania były prowadzone w grupach uczniów szkół średnich (N = 236) i studentach (N = 85). Grupa badana wynosiła razem 321 osób w wieku od 15 do 26 lat. Do analizy korelacji między zmiennymi – ekspresja gniewu i problematyczne używanie Internetu użyto kwestionariuszy: Skale Ekspresji Gniewu (SEG) oraz Test Problematycznego Używania Internetu (TPUI22). Analiza wyników badań wskazuje na to, że doświadczenia nabywane w świecie wirtualnym mogą wpływać na nasilenie ekspresji gniewu zewnętrznego, kierowanego na innych ludzi, a także agresji w świecie wirtualnym i realnym. Jednakże korelacje między tymi wymiarami są słabe bądź przeciętne, więc powodów agresji nie należy dopatrywać się jedynie w problematycznym używaniu Internetu. Wysokie nasilenie PUI może sprzyjać rozwojowi agresywności, ale nie jest jej jedyną przyczyną, której można doszukiwać się w środowisku akceptującym agresję i przemoc lub w temperamencie i wrodzonych predyspozycjach do dużej reaktywności emocjonalnej.
The aim of the research presented in this article is to analyze the relationship between problematic use of the Internet (PUI) and anger expression. The research was conducted in a group of high school students (N = 236) and universi ty students (N = 85). Altogether there were 321 people in age from 15 to 26. For the analysis were used standardized tools: anger expression – Skala Ekspresji Gniewu (SEG) and problematic Internet use – Test Problematycznego Używania Internetu (TPUI22). The analysis showed that experiences gained in the Internet, may be related to the expression of anger outside, directed to other people and may causing aggression not only in virtual space. However, analyzed relationships between these variables are weak, so the causes of aggression should not be seen only in problematic use of Internet. PUI may encourage the development of aggressiveness, but it is not the only causa of it, which can be looked in an environment that accepts aggression and violence or in temperament and the innate predispositions to high emotional reactivity.
