Abstract
Mało znany polski kompozytor Leopold [Leopoldo] Pych [Pich] był w latach 1765–1774 dyrygentem zespołu muzycznego klasztoru dominikanów we Lwowie. W wyniku kwerend i badań udało się odnaleźć kilka utworów autorstwa L. Pycha. Znajdują się one obecnie w Archiwum Opactwa Cystersów w Krakowie-Mogile, w Bibliotece Diecezjalnej w Sandomierzu oraz Państwowym Archiwum w Modrej k. Bratysławy (Słowacja). Dwie takie same jego kompozycje Missa solemnis ex D i Vesperae B: V: M:. należały do repertuaru kapeli muzycznej cystersów w Krakowie (przechowywane obecnie w Archiwum Opactwa Cystersów w Mogile) i zespołu muzycznego klasztoru pijarów w Podolińcu (przechowywane obecnie w Państwowym Archiwum w Modrej). Również te dwie identyczne kompozycje L. Pycha znajdują się w Bibliotece Diecezjalnej w Sandomierzu. Natomiast Missa ex C w odpisie z 1772 roku została odnaleziona tylko w Państwowym Archiwum w Modrej. Rękopis sporządził żyjący w tym czasie w Podolińcu pijar Józef Weber (w zakonie o. Benedictus a Visitatione B.V.M. SchP). Obsada jest skromna i składa się z instrumentalnego Kirchentrio (skrzypce 1 i 2 oraz organy realizujące partię basso continuo). Zespół wokalny stanowią duety i sola dwóch głosów: Canto (sopran) i Basso. W tej kompozycji brakuje wielogłosowego muzycznego opracowania końcowej części tekstu Credo rozpoczynającej się od słów: Et in Spiritum Sanctum. Ponadto w pierwszej części cyklu Kyrie eleison brakuje zawołania Christe eleison. Można też przyjąć hipotezę, że kompozycja została stworzona na potrzeby skromnego zespołu kościelnego, a pozostałe teksty wykonywano z melodią chorału gregoriańskiego.
The little-known Polish composer Leopold [Leopoldo] Pych [Pich] was in 1765–1774 the conductor of the music ensemble of the Dominican monastery in Lviv. As a result of queries and research, several works by L. Pych were found. They are currently in the Archives of the Cistercian Abbey in Kraków-Mogiła, the Diocesan Library in Sandomierz and the State Archives in Modra near Bratislava (Slovakia). Two identical compositions of his Missa solemnis ex D and Vesperae B: V: M:. belonged to the repertoire of the Cistercian music band in Kraków (currently stored in the Archives of the Cistercian Abbey in Mogiła) and the music ensemble of the Piarist monastery in Podoliniec (currently stored in the State Archives in Modra). Also these two identical compositions by L. Pych are in the Diocesan Library in Sandomierz. On the other hand, Missa ex C in the copy from 1772 was found only in the State Archives in Modra. The manuscript was drawn up by the Piarist Józef Weber, who lived in Podoliniec at that time (in the convent Father Benedictus a Visitatione B.V.M. SchP). The line-up is modest and consists of the instrumental Kirchentrio (violins 1 and 2 and the organ performing the basso continuo part). The vocal ensemble consists of duets and solos of two voices: Canto (soprano) and Basso. This composition lacks the polyphonic musical arrangement of the final part of the text of Credo, which begins with the words: Et in Spiritum Sanctum. In addition, in the first part of the Kyrie eleison cycle, the call Christe eleison is missing. It can also be hypothesized that the composition was created for the needs of a modest church ensemble, and the remaining texts were performed to the melody of Gregorian chant.
