Książka stanowi przystępny i naukowy wykład treści starotestamentowej Księgi Powtórzonego Prawa. Monografia podzielona jest na trzy zasadnicze części: wprowadzenie historyczno-krytyczne, przekład opatrzony marginaliami i komentarzem oraz spis literatury. We wprowadzeniu autor omówił strukturę księgi, problemy literackie, historię badań, powstanie księgi oraz jej teologię.
