Abstract

In recent decades, the family has been subjected to strong pressure from the processes of modernization, globalization and unification, which make it more and more susceptible to the phenomenon of social, cultural, or spiritual erosion, which can significantly lead to a weakening of its functions and educational care. Voltage gain, uncertainty and conflicts, which are appearing more often in family life, mean that in many families the ties are weakened and parents are losing “control” over the process of upbringing their children. Children without family warmth and sense of security, often seek understanding and acceptance outside the family – on the “street”, where they spend most of the time, and try to find a substitute for “home”. Therefore the subject undertaken here tries to highlight certain dangerous tendencies lurking in the functioning of the modern family, which often make many children forced to live on the “street” and look for happiness in a “foreign” place thereby exposing themselves to many risks and dangers.
