dc.description.abstract	Having a healthy baby is the desire of all parents. The development of services related to prenatal diagnosis makes it possible for them to calm down about the health of their child. However, it may also happens that parents receive a diagnosis of an occurrence of a defect or congenital disease in their child. It is always a dramatic situation, because although the parents have a child, nevertheless, they have lost their a healthy child. In that case, they have to make very difficult decisions about the child’s future life (eugenic abortion or not) and every option to choose from is associated with experiencing the mourning a loss. Such mourning is a difficult experience for all family members, although the child’s health is lost, the child itself is still alive. Many medical, psychological and social factors modify the way of experiencing the loss and grief process. The whole family needs support, which is not easy to obtain due to the nature of such traumatic situation.
