Abstract
Edmund Bojanowski rozwijał swą myśl pedagogiczną w połowie XIX wieku i dokonywał jej praktycznej aplikacji zachowując zasady wynikające z niezmiennej natury człowieka, praw jego rozwoju i wartości najwyższych, dostosowując metody, formy i środki wychowania do specyfiki społeczno-kulturowej danego środowiska. Szczegółowe wskazania zawarł w swej bogatej spuściźnie i dzięki temu są wciąż realizowane w tradycji pracy wychowawczej Zgromadzenia Sióstr Służebniczek, podejmujących działalność edukacyjną w różnych krajach na świecie. Dokonując twórczej interpretacji myśli pedagogicznej Bojanowskiego, Służebniczki wciąż odczytują ją na nowo w zmieniających się warunkach społeczno-kulturowych i wobec aktualnych wyzwań edukacyjnych. Jej ponadczasowy i uniwersalny wymiar stanowi podstawę do jej aplikacji w perspektywie międzynarodowej.
Edmund Bojanowski developed his pedagogical thought in the middle of the nineteenth century and put it into practice, maintaining the principles resulting from the unchangeable nature of man, the laws of their development and the highest values, and adapting the methods, forms and means of education to the socio-cultural specifi city of a given environment. He included detailed recommendations in his rich legacy, thanks to which they are still implemented in the educational work of the Congregation of Servant Sisters, undertaking educational activities in various countries of the world. By making a creative interpretation of Bojanowski’s pedagogical thought, the Servant Sisters continue to read it anew in the changing socio-cultural conditions and in the face of current educational challenges. Its timeless and universal dimension constitutes the basis for its application from an international perspective.
