The core principles of Nature 2000 management are usually defi ned in the literature as fulfi lling the concept of sustainable development. On the other hand, there are many prejudices when it comes to undertaking projects or economic activity on Nature 2000 sites. The article concerns legal aspects of supporting various economical activities on Nature 2000 sites by business support institutions and its effects for regional and local growth and development.
