dc.description.abstractIn the book, that should have been ordered by the Hinstorff publisher as a relation from the journey to Hungary, F. Fühmann makes a reckoning with his Nazi past and also he searches for a definition of his own esthetic-literary path. In his book, the author devotes a lot of thoughts to his past (Vergangenheit) and he evaluates them in the context of the inner alteration (Wandlung) that occurs multiple times; he underlines that reality is filled with contradictions. The novelist ties his experiences from the past with the thoughts about the concept of the myth (Mythos); anthropologic category that is understood as a model in which contradictory experiences from the past are gathered and they can be compared to the experience of a single human being. In the myth category, the author sees a way out to create his poetics that is based on an individual experience of a human being.pl

Fühmann dokonuje rozrachunku z przeszłością nazistowską, a także poszukuje definicji własnej drogi estetyczno-literackiej. Wiele miejsca w swych rozmyślaniach pisarz poświęca przeszłości (Vergangenheit), analizując ją w kontekście dokonywanej się wielokrotnie wewnętrznej przemiany (Wandlung), podkreślając, iż rzeczywistość pełna jest sprzeczności. Swe doświadczenia z przeszłości pisarz wiąże z rozmyślaniami nad koncepcją mitu (Mythos), kategorią antropologiczną, rozumianą jako model, w którym zebrane zostały sprzeczne doświadczenia ludzkości, które można odnieść do doświadczenia pojedynczego człowieka. W kategorii mitu pisarz widzi punkt wyjścia do stworzenia swej poetyki, opartej na indywidualnym doświadczeniu człowieczym.pl
