dc.description.abstract	The paper discusses different modern opinions concerning the interpretation of the Psalms. In the first part of the study the author presents the evaluation of modern 'canonical approach' to the biblical text from the standpoint of catholic exegesis; the second part deals with the 'holistic' approach to the reading of the Psalter.
