Rola ojca we wspomaganiu rozwoju dziecka z uszkodzonym słuchem

Abstract

Na terenie surdopedagogiki problematyka ojcostwa była rzadko podejmowanym tematem rozważań i badań empirycznych, ale obecnie to się zmienia. Coraz częściej zagadnienia trudnego rodzicielstwa są również podejmowane z punktu widzenia ojca i z nastawieniem, aby nie tylko dostrzegać negatywne strony życia, jego skomplikowanie, ryzyko przyjmowania negatywnych postaw wychowawczych, rozpadu rodziny, ale również szans rozwojowych, jakie niesie dla ojca sytuacja posiadania dziecka z uszkodzonym słuchem. Zgodnie z tym „optymistycznym paradygmatem” w publikacji podkreślono nie tylko trudności, na jakie napotyka ojciec w sprawowaniu swoich rodzicielskich funkcji oraz w życiu małżeńskim i osobistym, ale również znaczenie ojca dla rozwoju dziecka z uszkodzeniem słuchu oraz różne formy wspomagania go w pełnieniu roli ojca, jakie oferują mu zarówno ośrodki państwowe, jak i organizacje pozarzą­dowe oraz kościelne.

In the area of surdopedagogy the issue of paternity has rarely been raised in theoretical discussions and empirical research, however, this is changing nowadays. More and more frequently, questions concerning "difficult parenthood" are considered from the point of view of the father, with an assumption to recognize not only the negative aspects of life, its complexity, the risks of negative attitudes in education or family breakdown, but also drawing attention to the chance for personal development that having a hearing-impaired child brings to the father. According to this “optimistic paradigm”, the paper highlights not only the difficulties and obstacles a father faces when carrying out his parental functions, as well as in his marital and personal life, but also discusses the significance of the father for the development of a hearing-impaired child and var­ious forms of supporting him in performing the role of the father, offered by state institutions, non-government and church organizations.
