Abstract: The issue of security has become in recent years the issue extensively considered and discussed in the various disciplines of social sciences area. However, the interdisciplinary study of human security needs the discipline which can integrates these issues. This discipline can be philosophy, which aim is to point out the integral understanding of man. The personalistic philosophy emphasizes primacy of the person and its dignity dimension as a condition to guarantee the safety of man. Human development as a person, manifested in a constant and multidirectional dynamism of action, does not allow for easy lineup conditions securing his existence. For man, his security is an important condition for the sovereign functioning in the world. Man realizes his personal potentiality mainly in relation to other people, as expressed through the creation of culture and participation in society. However, only the interpersonal community provides human security, which affirms the dignity and supports his personal development.
