Abstract
Kapituła Kolegiacka Łukowska została erygowana 15 czerwca 1997 r. przy kościele Przemienienia Pańskiego w Łukowie. W ten sposób miasto Łuków, które w XIII w. było przewidziane na siedzibę biskupa, zostało uhonorowane posiadaniem Kapituły Kolegiackiej Łukowskiej i kościoła kolegiackiego. Patronami Kapituły są Błogosławieni Męczennicy Podlascy z Pratulina. W dniu 15 czerwca 2022 r. w Pratulinie Kapituła obchodziła 25. rocznicę jej erygowania. Dla uczczenia tego Jubileuszu została wydana książka "Kapituła Kolegiacka Łukowska. 25 lat w służbie Kościoła". Jej treść stanowią biogramy biskupa siedleckiego Kazimierza Gurdy, biskupa pomocniczego Grzegorza Suchodolskiego, prepozyta i prepozytów seniorów oraz kanoników gremialnych, honorowych, przeniesionych do innych kapituł oraz zmarłych kanoników Kapituły. W publikacji znajdują się zdjęcia portretowe kanoników oraz zdjęcia obrazujące obchody Jubileuszu 25-lecia Kapituły. Celem tej książki jest zachowanie dla przyszłych pokoleń pamięci o kapłanach wyróżnionych godnością kanonika za ich trud i wkład w bogactwo duszpasterskie, intelektualne i materialne Diecezji Siedleckiej.
The Collegiate Chapter of Łuków was erected on 15 June 1997 at the Church of the Transfiguration in Łuków. In this way, the town of Łuków, which in the 13th century was supposed to be the bishop's seat, has been honoured with the possession of the Collegiate Chapter and the Collegiate Church. The patrons of the Chapter are the Blessed Podlasie Martyrs from Pratulin. On 15 June 2022 in Pratulin, the Chapter celebrated the 25th anniversary of its erection. This Jubilee was commemorated with the publication of the book The Collegiate Chapter of Łuków. 25 Years in Service of the Church. It includes biographies of the Siedlce Bishop Kazimierz Gurda, auxiliary bishop Grzegorz Suchodolski, the provost and provosts emeritus, as well as titular canons, honorary canons, those transferred to other chapters, and deceased canons of the Chapter. The publication includes portrait photos of canons and photographs depicting the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chapter. The purpose of this book is to preserve for future generations the memory of priests distinguished with the title of a canon for their efforts and contribution to the pastoral, intellectual and material wealth of the Diocese of Siedlce.
