Abstract
Tom Filozofia kultury, wydany w ramach serii Dydaktyka Filozofii, ukazuje człowieka jako twórcę kultury, choć wprost podejmuje wątki należące do wszystkich jej wymiarów, czyli nauki, sztuki, moralności i religii. Akcent postawiono na odsłonięcie istoty samego zjawiska kultury, jej społecznych uwarunkowań, a także jej relacji do cywilizacji, a nade wszystko jej współczesnych przemian. Równie istotnym elementem obecnego tomu jest ukazanie specyfiki działalności artystycznej, a także – choćby tylko skromnie – zjawiska techniki.
Część pierwsza, zatytułowana: „Pytania o istotę kultury, cywilizacji, sztuki i techniki”, skupia się najpierw na prezentacji specyfiki nauk podejmujących szeroko pojęte zjawisko kultury, możliwie w całym jego bogactwie oraz uwarunkowaniach historycznych i społecznych. Uwzględnia nie tylko filozoficzny wymiar rozważań, lecz także ten właściwy naukom szczegółowym zajmującym się tą tematyką. Osiągnięcia tych ostatnich mogą bowiem, a nawet powinny, być zasadnie i owocnie wykorzystane przez filozofa, nie tylko w odniesieniu do takich konkurencyjnych wobec nich nauk jak antropologia kulturowo-społeczna, etnologia, kulturoznawstwo czy semiotyka kultury, ale też np. psychologia, socjologia, pedagogika i teologia kultury, a nawet wskazując na biologiczne podstawy kultury. Stąd też zaprezentowano status metodologiczny, sposób ujęcia tytułowej problematyki i zakres podejmowanych tematów przez nauki filozoficzne, humanistyczne i społeczne oraz o sztuce i technice. Część poświęconą omówieniu specyfiki nauk o kulturze wieńczą dwie wypowiedzi doświadczonych wykładowców tytułowej problematyki. Ważnym wymiarem części pierwszej tego antropologicznie ugruntowanego tomu jest przybliżenie intelektualnego fundamentu kultury oraz różnych przejawów transcendencji, jaka się ujawnia w rozmaitych formach kultury, zwłaszcza współczesnej
The volume Philosophy of Culture, published as part of the Didactic of Philosophy series, shows man as the creator of culture, although it directly takes up threads belonging to all its dimensions, i.e. science, art, morality and religion. The emphasis was placed on revealing the essence of the phenomenon of culture itself, its social determinants, as well as its relation to civilization, and above all to its contemporary transformations. An equally important element of the present volume is the presentation of the specificity of artistic activity, as well as - even if only modestly - the phenomena of technology. The first part, entitled: "Questions about the essence of culture, civilization, art and technology", first focuses on the presentation of the specificity of sciences dealing with the broadly understood phenomenon of culture, possibly in all its richness and historical and social conditions. It takes into account not only the philosophical dimension of considerations, but also the one specific to specific sciences dealing with this subject. The achievements of the latter may, and even should, be justified and fruitfully used by a philosopher, not only in relation to such competing sciences as cultural and social anthropology, ethnology, cultural studies or cultural semiotics, but also e.g. psychology, sociology, pedagogy and theology of culture, and even pointing to the biological foundations of culture. Hence, the methodological status, the approach to the subject matter and the scope of topics taken up by philosophical, humanities and social sciences as well as art and technology are presented. The part devoted to the specificity of cultural sciences is crowned with two statements by experienced lecturers on the subject matter. An important dimension of the first part of this anthropologically grounded volume is the presentation of the intellectual foundation of culture and various manifestations of transcendence, which is manifested in various forms of culture, especially contemporary ones.
