Abstract
Książka stanowi przystępny i naukowy wykład treści starotestamentowej Księgi Psalmów. Monografia podzielona jest na trzy zasadnicze części: wprowadzenie historyczno-krytyczne, przekład opatrzony marginaliami i komentarzem oraz spis literatury. Autorem wykazu marginaliów, czyli miejsc paralelnych jest zarówno ks. Antoni Tronina, jak i Dawid Mielnik. We wprowadzeniu ks. Tronina omówił (1) autorstwo i czas powstania księgi, (2) gatunki literackie, (3) antropologię, (4) teologię, (5) postać Dawida jako autora psalmów, (6) Psałterz jako księgę modlitwy oraz (7) szczytowy wyraz wiary biblijnej, (8) strukturę Psałterza. Komentarz do każdego psalmu podzielony jest na trzy części: (1) powiązanie danego psalmu z kontekstem, (2) wewnętrzna struktura psalmu, (3) sens chrystologiczny psalmu. W ten sposób komentarz nawiązuje do starożytnej metody czytania psalmów zwanej lectio divina.
The book is an accessible and scholarly interpretation of the Book of Psalms. The monograph is divided into three main parts: a historical-critical introduction, a translation with marginalia and commentary, and a bibliography. The author of the marginalia (parallel texts) is both Prof. Antoni Tronina and Dr. David Mielnik. In his introduction, Tronina discusses (1) the authorship and date of the book, (2) literary genres, (3) anthropology, (4) theology, (5) the figure of David as the author of the psalms, (6) the Psalter as a book of prayer, and (7) the Psalter as the pinnacle expression of biblical faith, (8) the structure of the Psalter. The commentary on each psalm is divided into three parts: (1) the connection of the given psalm with its context, (2) the internal structure of the psalm, (3) the Christological meaning of the psalm. In this way, the commentary refers to the ancient method of reading the psalms known as lectio divina.
