Abstract
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie głośnych spraw sądowych, które toczyły się przed sądeckimi sądami I oraz II instancji w Nowym Sączu w latach 1918-1939. Przedstawione zostaną te procesy, które wzbudziły żywe zainteresowanie lokalnej społeczności i zostały uznane za interesujące również na łamach krajowej i lokalnej prasy, głównie „Ilustrowanego Kuriera Codziennego” (IKC), w którym stałą rubrykę miał sądecki prawnik i dziennikarz Stanisław Koerbel. Najbardziej interesującym źródłem poznania znajdujących się na sądeckiej wokandzie spraw są reportaże sądowe. Zawierają one dokładny przebieg posiedzenia i rozprawy dopełnionych relacjami świadków, nierzadko wzbogaconych interesującą dokumentacją zdjęciową . Cenne informacje o sprawach można czerpać z archiwaliów sądowych, jak i dokumentacji najbardziej znanych kancelarii adwokackich, obecnie znajdujących się w zasobach Archiwum Narodowego w Krakowie.
The subject of this article is to show the most famous trials of the interwar city of Nowy Sącz. The aim of the author was to show the local judgements and judicial regulations in the 1920s and 1930s. The study investigates the sources to which after 1918 Polish authorities created a rule of state law in which the local judicial community played an important role. In the inter-war period civil, criminal, labor, family, financial and political cases were conducted. Judges and lawyers were respectable people in Nowy Sącz and they had a high social position in city. Sometimes, there were spectacular sentences. In penal cases, the judges applied the death penalty. The article seeks to further develop the discussion about the importance of local trials and judgements in inter-war period, Nowy Sącz. The nature and the character of local judgements are also examined.
