Abstract
Publikacja OPUS MAGNUM - KULowskie wieczory z muzyką przedstawia historię wyjątkowego cyklu koncertów solowych i kameralnych, który podczas 34 pełnych emocji i artystycznych doświadczeń wieczorów, w latach 2013-2020, ukazał najważniejsze zjawiska estetyczne w historii polskiej i światowej kultury muzycznej, a także współczesny obraz sztuki dźwięku z szerokim spektrum nowych gatunków, form, technik i praktyk wykonawczych. Podczas muzycznych spotkań przeszłość sąsiadowała z teraźniejszością, duchowe piękno chorałów Bacha dopełniała epicka narracja Chopinowskich ballad, mistrzostwo kształtów konkurowało z kolorystyką brzmienia, a utwory znane z powstałymi niemal przed chwilą...Wykonawcami koncertów byli wybitnie utalentowani artyści z kraju
i z zagranicy, laureaci ogólnopolskich oraz międzynarodowych konkursów, uczestnicy prestiżowych festiwali muzycznych; muzycy o ugruntowanej pozycji zawodowej, znani szerokiemu audytoriom, legitymujący się bogatym dorobkiem fonograficznym i wielce obiecujący ludzie młodzi, szukający akceptacji społecznej.
Inauguracja OPUS MAGNUM odbyła się w Auli im. Stefana Kardynała Wyszyńskiego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego Jana Pawła II 8 grudnia 2013 r. z okazji obchodów 95. rocznicy powstania Uniwersytetu. Inicjatorami byli ks. prof. Antoni Dębiński, rektor KUL oraz dr Teresa Księska-Falger - pianistka, publicystka, pedagog, w latach 1996-2009 dyrektor naczelny i artystyczny Filharmonii im.Henryka Wieniawskiego w Lublinie.
Od początku ideą KULowskich wieczorów z muzyką było artystyczne dopełnienie ważnych dla społeczności akademickiej KUL wydarzeń, jak Święto Patronalne, Inauguracja Roku Akademickiego, kolejne rocznice powstania Uniwersytetu, a także osób: ks. Idziego Radziszewskiego, założyciela i pierwszego rektora KUL, św. Jana Pawła II, abp. Józefa Życińskiego, metropolity lubelskiego i Wielkiego Kanclerza KUL w l. 1997-2011, czy Anieli hr. Potulickiej, donatorki KUL. W krótkim czasie koncerty stały się wizytówką Uczelni, a także ważną pozycją w pejzażu kulturalnym Lublina. Adresowane do mieszkańców oraz gości z kraju i zagranicy, niebiletowane, stworzyły szansę szerokiego dostępu do kultury wszystkim zainteresowanym, bez względu na status materialny.
This publication OPUS MAGNUM - the Catholic University of Lublin Evenings with Music presents the history of a unique series of solo and chamber concerts, which during 34 evenings full of emotions and artistic experience, in the years 2013-2020 featured the most important aesthetic phenomena in the history of Polish and world music culture, as well as the contemporary representation of the art of sound from a broad spectrum of new genres, forms, techniques and performance practices. During these musical meetings, the past lived next to the present, the spiritual beauty of Bach's chorales was complemented by the epic narration of Chopin's ballades. The mastery of shapes competed with the colours of the sound and famous compositions with those created almost a moment ago... The concerts were performed by the outstandingly talented artists from Poland and abroad, the winners of national and international competitions, the participants of prestigious music festivals. The well-established musicians with rich phonographic accomplishments known to wide audiences were presented next to promising young artists looking for social acceptance. The inauguration of OPUS MAGNUM took place in the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Auditorium of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin on December 8, 2013, celebrating the 95th anniversary of its foundation. Prof.Antoni Dębiński, rector of the Catholic University of Lublin and Teresa Księska-Falger, PhD - a pianist, journalist, teacher, in 1996-2009 managing and artistic director of the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic in Lublin, initiated this project. From the very beginning, the idea of the Catholic University of Lublin Evenings with Music have been an artistic extension of the events important for the academic community of this university, including Patronage Day, Inauguration of an Academic Year, subsequent anniversaries. It also has paid tribute to distinguished personalities connected with the university, among others Priest Idzi Radziszewski, the founder and first rector of the Catholic University of Lublin, St. John Paul II, Archbishop Józef Życiński, Metropolitan of Lublin and the Grand Chancellor of the Catholic University of Lublin in 1997-2011 and Countess Aniela Potulicka, a donor of the Catholic University of Lublin. In a short time, the concerts became the showpiece of the university, as well as an important element in the cultural landscape of Lublin. Addressed to its inhabitants, as well as visitors from Poland and abroad, and being free of charge, they created a chance for the wide access to culture for all interested parties, regardless of their financial status.
