Jerzy PałuckiWychowanie jest procesem wpisanym w kontekst społeczno-kulturowy danej epoki. Chrześcijaństwo ukształtowało koncepcję kultury i wychowania opierającą się na prawdzie Bożego Objawienia. Dysertacja przedstawia poglądy wczesnochrześcijańskiego pisarza Klemensa Aleksandryjskiego, spostrzegającego chrześcijaństwo jako jedyną prawdziwą paideię, a Chrystusa jako wychowawcę ludzkości. Struktura pracy obejmuje cztery rozdziały. Pierwszy przedstawia, czym jest filozofia na podstawie pism Klemensa. Prezentowane są w nim kierunki i szkoły filozoficzne akceptowane przez filozofa lub odrzucane, a także dokonane zostało porównanie filozofii i religii pogańskiej z chrześcijaństwem. Rozdział drugi ukazuje złożoność pojęcia Logosu w koncepcji hellenistycznej i w nauce chrześcijańskiej. W rozdziale trzecim poddano analizie strukturę procesu wychowawczego w ujęciu Klemensa oraz według kryteriów współczesnej pedagogiki. Rozdział czwarty przedstawia finalny efekt formacji chrześcijańskiej. Przedstawiono w nim zagadnienie gnozy w kulturze helleńskiej oraz elementy gnozy chrześcijańskiej ortodoksyjnej i heterodoksyjnej. Ukazano ponadto ideał życia chrześcijańskiego w postaci doskonałego gnostyka, a także wskazano drogi osiągnięcia doskonałości, jakimi są asceza i bezżenność ze względu na Boga oraz małżeństwo i życie wśród spraw tego świata. Upbringing is a process inscribed in the socio­ cultural context of a given epoch. Christianity has shaped the concept of culture and education based on the truth of God's revelation. The dissertation presents the views of the early Christian writer Clement of Alexandria, who perceived Christianity as the only true paideia and Christ as the educator of mankind. The structure of the dissertation consists of four chapters. The first one shows what the philosophy based on the writings of Clement is like. The chapter presents the directions and philosophical schools accepted by the philosopher or rejected by him, as well as comparing pagan philosophy and religion with Christianity. The second chapter shows the complexity of the concept of the Logos in the Hellenistic concept and in Christian science. The third chapter analyzes the structure of the educational process in terms of Clement and according to the criteria of modem pedagogy. The fourth chapter presents the final effect of Christian formation. It presents the problem of gnosis in Hellenic culture and elements of orthodox and heterodox Christian gnosis.
