Termin "kapłaństwo" znany był już w czasach Starego Testamentu, jednak dopiero Jezus Chrystus nadał posłudze kapłańskiej wymiar szczególny, podnosząc kapłaństwo do rangi sakramentu. Kluczowe dla tego wydarzania wydaje się już samo powołanie grona Dwunastu. Kontynuatorami misji apostolskiej są w czasach współczesnych biskupi i prezbiterzy. O ich roli i zadaniach we wspólnocie wierzących przedstawiciele Kościoła wypowiadali się wielokrotnie. Dysertacja doktorska jest próbą całościowego opracowania zagadnienia budowania wspólnoty prezbiterium diecezjalnego. Zatytułowano ją "Budowanie wspólnoty prezbiterium diecezjalnego w świetle nauczania Kościoła po Soborze Watykańskim II. Studium teologicznopastoralne". W strukturze pracy wyodrębniono cztery rozdziały. W rozdziale pierwszym omówione zostaną podstawy teologiczne budowania wspólnoty prezbiterium diecezjalnego. Drugi rozdział poświęcony zostanie omówieniu możliwości budowania wspólnoty prezbiterium poprzez realizację funkcji nauczycielskiej. Kolejny rozdział prezentowanej dysertacji poświęcony zostanie zagadnieniu budowania wspólnoty prezbiterium diecezjalnego poprzez realizację funkcji kapłańskiej. Czwarty, ostatni, rozdział prezentowanej rozprawy stawia sobie za cel podjęcie refleksji nad rolą miłości w procesie budowania wspólnoty prezbiterium diecezjalnego. Do jej praktykowania zobowiązany jest każdy wierzący, w konsekwencji postawa miłości nie powinna być obca także członkom wspólnoty kapłańskiej.A particular way of vocation in the Church is the vocation to the priestly life. Its final seal is receiving the sacrament of Holy Orders. The term "priesthood" was known already in the Old Testament times, but it was only Jesus Christ who gave a special dimension to the priestly ministry, raising the priesthood to the rank of a sacrament. The very appointment of the group of the Twelve seems to be crucial for this event. The apostolic mission is continued in modern times by bishops and priests. Representatives of the Church spoke many times about their role and tasks in the community of believers. The doctoral dissertation is an attempt to comprehensively develop the issue of building a community in the diocesan presbytery. It was entitled: Building the community of the diocesan presbytery in the light of the teaching of the Church after the Second Vatican Council. A theological and pastoral study. Four chapters have been distinguished in the structure of the work. The first chapter will discussing the possibilities of building a chancel community through the implementation of the teaching function. The next chapter of the presented dissertation will be devoted to the issue of building a community of a diocesan chancel through the implementation of a priestly function. The fourth and last chapter of the presented dissertation aims to reflect on the role of love in the process of building the community of the diocesan presbytery.
