Nie ulega wątpliwości, że omówione dokumenty przedstawiają znakomitą wartość historyczną. Są szczególnie ważne dla ustalenia wielkości zniszczeń wojennych z lat 1944-1945 (domy, kościoły, gospodarstwa rolne), zwłaszcza że powyższa problematyka była nieobecna w badaniach instytucji państwowych. Umożliwiają również przeanalizowanie terroru okupacyjnego, jego dynamikę oraz fluktuację w poszczególnych dekanatach (częściach) diecezji. Źródła kościelne, jak każde inne, wymagają jednak konfrontowania z dostępnymi źródłami świeckimi celem ustalenia ostatecznych danych. The article demonstrates the scientific relevance of church sources for the study of personal and material losses in the Kielce region during World War II. There is no doubt that the documents discussed represent excellent historical value. They are particularly important for determining the volume of war damage from 1944–1945 (houses, churches, farms), especially since the above issues have been absent from the studies of state institutions. They also facilitate an analysis of the occupation terror, its dynamics and fluctuation in the various deaneries (parts) of the diocese.
