Tajemnica Wcielenia jest rozpatrywana z dwóch perspektyw: ontycznej (unia hipostatyczna) oraz historio-zbawczej. Miłosierna działalność Słowa Wcielonego w czasie pobytu na ziemi przejawia się szczególnie poprzez nauczanie, czynienie cudów, mękę i śmierć, Zmartwychwstanie oraz Wniebowstąpienie. Po wstąpieniu do nieba Chrystus kontynuuje swoją zbawczą działalność w sakramentach Kościoła. Tomaszowa egzegeza przypowieści o miłosiernym Samarytaninie udowadnia zgodność nauczania Akwinaty na temat Wcielenia i miłosierdzia z Pismem Świętym oraz z tradycją patrystyczną.The thesis presents the relationship between the Incarnation and mercy in the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas on the basis of the Summa Theologiae. The Incarnation is presented as the supreme act of God's mercy. The mystery of the Incarnation is examined from two perspectives: ontic (the hypostatic union) and historico-salvific. The merciful activity of the Incarnate Word during his sojourn on earth manifests itself especially through his teaching, working of miracles, passion and death, resurrection and ascension. After ascending into heaven, Christ continues his saving activity in the sacraments of the Church.
