Doroty Chabrajskiej)Edward Ferenc presents an essay in which he describes his long-lasting friendship with Wojciech Chudy, in particular the time in the 1970’s when both of them were philosophy students at the Catholic University of Lublin. The author simultaneously gives an account of the unique atmosphere of the KUL of the 1970’s created by professors, students, as well as by the university administration, which made it a special university, offering a chance to study a chosen subject and obtain a degree to students with disabilities.
