Dokonano w nim analizy porównawczej kościołów wzniesionych w odległych od siebie miejscowościach (diecezja pińska i łódzka), przypisywanych różnym autorom, a wykazujących znaczne podobieństwo formalne. Opracowanie stanowi jednocześnie próbę ustalenia faktycznego autorstwa budowli. Przedstawia także pokrótce powszechną w czasie budowy omawianych kościołów ideę poszukiwania "stylu narodowego", w którym zostały one ukształtowane i ukazuje podobne przykłady powielania form. Wywód oparto na archiwalnym materiale ikonograficznym - fotografiach z lat budowy, projektach oraz aktach pomocnych w rekonstrukcji życiorysu zawodowego twórców. Celem publikacji jest także przybliżenie postaci brzeskiego architekta Bronisława Nielubowicza i wątków pracy twórczej, które w ramach jej przygotowania udało się autorce ustalić. Abstract: The essay deals with the borrowing of forms in sacred architecture in the Second Polish Republic. The focus of the study is on small places of worship in the Eastern Borderlands and central regions of the Second Polish Republic. A comparative analysis was carried out of churches built in remote locations (Diocese of Pinsk and Łódź), attributed to various architects (B. Nielubowicz and J. Kaban), but showing significant formal similarity. The essay is an attempt to determine the actual provenance of the buildings. It also briefly introduces the prevailing notion during construction work of a search for a "national style" in which the churches were built, and shows similar examples of duplication of forms. The analysis was based on archival iconographic material – photographs from the years of construction and designs and records helpful in the reconstruction of the artists’ professional biographies. An important aid in the establishment of the facts were the memoirs of the little-known Brest architect B.
