Abstract
Niniejsza książka przybliża problemy tożsamości współczesnej katechetyki i katechezy. Polska katechetyka i katecheza u progu XXI wieku przeżywa niezwykle dynamiczny rozwój. U podstaw współczesnych jej osiągnięć znajduje się dorobek i postulaty wybitnych polskich katechetyków. Ks. F. Blachnicki wielokrotnie postulował konieczność wypracowania i przyjęcia ściśle określonej koncepcji katechetyki. Od tego bowiem uzależniał nie tylko zakres materiału, jaki trzeba objąć i jego ogólny układ, ale także sposób dobierania i określania podstawowych zasad, w świetle których trzeba poszczególne zagadnienia rozpatrywać i oceniać. Przestrzegał również, że brak takiej wypracowanej koncepcji prowadzi do tego, że katechetyka zarówno w doborze materiału, jak i w formowaniu zasad może się kierować raczej przypadkowymi względami narzuconymi przez ducha epoki lub subiektywnym spojrzeniem autora danego podręcznika, a nie prawdziwie naukowymi i obiektywnymi kryteriami. Ks. M. Majewski zdefiniował katechetykę, jako autonomiczną nauką praktyczną, która korzystając z osiągnięć zarówno nauk teologicznych, jak i antropologicznych, zajmuje się urzeczywistnianiem się Kościoła w zakresie formacji wiary osób i wspólnot.
This book takes a closer look at the identity problems of contemporary catechetics and catechesis. Polish catechetics and catechesis at the threshold of the 21st century is experiencing an extremely dynamic development. At the basis of its contemporary achievements are the achievements and postulates of outstanding Polish catechetical scholars. Fr F. Blachnicki repeatedly postulated the necessity of working out and adopting a strictly defined concept of catechetics. For he made dependent on it not only the scope of the material to be covered and its general arrangement, but also the way of selecting and defining the basic principles in the light of which individual issues must be considered and evaluated. He also warned that the lack of such an elaborated concept leads to the fact that catechetics, both in the selection of material and in the formation of principles, may be guided by accidental considerations imposed by the spirit of the epoch or by the subjective view of the author of a given textbook, rather than by truly scientific and objective criteria. Rev. M. Majewski defined catechetics as an autonomous practical science, which, using the achievements of both theological and anthropological sciences, deals with the Church's realization of the faith formation of individuals and communities.
