Abstract
The article presents an analysis of changes that are the effect of common Internet consumption within one of the most important types of radio auditions - a sound report. It is one of the oldest and the most important type of radio statement, documental and at the same time creational form in terms of used formal solutions. The Author indicates three aspects of the metamorphosis taking place within this type of radio production: topics, storytelling functions and sharing programs in the network. Currently, journalists intensively explore Internet environment, looking there for attractive topics and materials. As a result there are documentaries developing which report on new phenomena such as e.g. cybercrime, education in the network and crowdfunding as well as programs showing, real social problems (disability, facing the incurable illness, family issues) in the context of Internet activity of the person shown in a recording. The authors of radio reports not only document the social changes affected by digital technology, but also creatively process materials from the Internet. Fragments of blogs read to a microphone, mixed audio materials taken from YouTube are used in reports by means of 'acoustic quotations’, modulating the language of narration and the structure of phonic material organisation. An important, more and more common phenomenon is sharing radio reports on the stations’ websites. It is an important element of the presence of radio performance in the contemporary space of communication. From the sender’s point of view it builds an image of the radio station as an institution sensitive to actual social problems and the manufacturer of attractive digital resources, which is particularly important in the case of a public radio. The distance between a listener and journalists decreases in the opinion of the author of the reportage. For many journalists, this is a new and most effective form of acquiring recipients' opinion as a result of displacement of the traditional letters to the program editors by comments on the Internet. Finally, sharing of the reports on the Internet leads to redefinition of the radio work treated so far as an ephemeral piece of work of a one-time perception by not always involved and prepared listener. In this way, constantly an updated, publicly available, digital archive of radio productions is created.
