Abstract
Przedmiotem okazało się nowe zdefiniowanie pojęcia orfizm i uchwycenie tego, co stanowiło jego istotę w kontekście pozostałych fenomenów religijnych epoki rzymskiej, które wielu autorów antycznych żyjących od I w. p.n.e. do IV w. n.e. wiązało z autorytetem Orfeusza lub z tzw. orphica. Rozdział pierwszy pt. Pisma orfików omawia wszelkie utwory przypisywane Orfeuszowi, Muzajosowi, Linosowi i Epimenidesowi. Drugi rozdział pt. Bogowie orfików omawia wszelkie dostępne nam informacje o teogoniach orfickich i bogach czczonych przez orfików w okresie rzymskim. W trzecim rozdziale pt. Orficy po śmierci przedstawiłam wyobrażenia orfików na temat losów duszy po śmierci oraz to, jak ewoluowały one w stosunku do wizji zaświatów znanych nam z wieków wcześniejszych. Czwarty rozdział pt. Misteria orfików skupia się na rekonstrukcji misteriów orfickich. W rozdziale piątym pt. Orficy a Dionizos i misteria bakchiczne przeanalizowałam opowieści mitologiczne, w których jakąś rolę odgrywali Dionizos i Orfeusz. Rozdział szósty pt. Orficy a pitagorejczycy omawia podobieństwa między orfikami i pitagorejczykami czasów rzymskich. Siódmy rozdział pt. Orficy a misteria w Eleuzis i Flyi omawia związek misteriów Demeter z rytuałami orfickimi.
The subject of this dissertation turned out to be finding a new definition of the Orphism and grasping what was its essence in the context of other phenomena of the Roman era, which many of the ancient authors living between from I BC – IV AD connected to Orpheus or the Orphica. The first chapter, titled: The Scriptures of the Orphics discusses all texts attributed to Orpheus, Musaeus, Linos and Epimenides. The second chapter, titled: The Gods of the Orphics, discusses all the available information concerning Orphic theogonies and gods worshipped by the Orphics in the Roman period. In the third chapter, titled: The Orphics after death, I have presented the Orphicsʼ ideas about the fate of the soul after death and how they evolved from the vision of the afterlife known from the previous centuries. The fourth chapter, titled: The Mysteries of the Orphics focuses on the reconstruction of the Orphic mysteries. In the fifth chapter, titled: The Orphics, Dionysus and the Bacchic mysteries I have analyzed mythological stories, in which Dionysus and Orpheus played a role. The sixth chapter, titled: The Orphics and the Pythagoreans discusses the similarities between the Orphics and the Pythagoreans in the Roman period. The seventh chapter, titled: The Orphics and the mysteries in Eleusis and Phlya discusses the connection between the mysteries of Demeter and the Orphic rituals.
